Owner account

Access the full functionality of the workspace with a primary account.

Owner is a Sumsub account type with full permissions, including the ability to manage all users, roles and permissions, as well as access to all features available within the Dashboard.

The first account on your key (for newly registered clients) is automatically assigned Owner access. Additionally, these accounts are granted the following features:

Besides feature purchase, the Owner account can accept the terms applicable to specific services and solutions on behalf of the customer.

📘

Note

The Owner account access is being gradually rolled out and may not be available on your key. Contact the Sumsub support team so they can review the possibility of enabling Owner access for your account.

How Owner account works

When a Dashboard user is granted Owner access, they are notified upon their next login. The pop-up window informs the Owner about the availability of the following features:

To be able to activate products on the Solutions page, an Owner is asked to accept the consent available under the Get full access button.

📘

Note

The consent agreement is optional and can be accepted later when enabling solutions.

Assign Owner to Dashboard account

Set an initial Owner in the Dashboard or grant Owner access to additional accounts:

  1. Check whether your key already has any Owner accounts:
    1. In the Dashboard, go to SettingsTeamMembers.
    2. Find the team member with the Owner label next to their name.
  2. Proceed based on the result:
    1. If an Owner account exists, they can grant Owner access to other Dashboard users. To assign the Owner:
      1. Navigate to the SettingsTeamMembers.
      2. Locate the required account in the list.
      3. Select the Edit icon next to the account to open the Edit team member pop-up window.

    2. If no Owner account exists on your key, contact your Customer Success Manager or Sumsub support team to request Owner access.
📘

Note

  • To access the Members section in the Dashboard, you must have one of the following permissions: Manage dashboard users or View dashboard users.
  • You can have multiple Owner accounts on your key.

Reassign Owner access

If the current Owner account is no longer active in the Dashboard, you can assign the Owner to another Dashboard user. To make another account an Owner:
