Migrate Business verification levels to SDK 2.0

Get your business verification levels ready for SDK 2.0—ensure full compatibility and a smoother onboarding flow.

The migration process to SDK 2.0 also requires adjusting your business verification levels. The main change affects the all-in-one Company step which is now replaced by a few separate steps—Company data, Company documents, and Associated parties.

The entire migration process of business verification levels involves several stages, including configuring basic level settings, removing outdated steps, and applying new configurations.

Perform initial edits

To minimize errors related to the service running, duplicate the existing levels and give them new names:

  1. In the Dashboard, go to Applicant levelsCompanies.
  2. Find a required level in the list, click a three-dot menu, and select Duplicate.
  3. Enter a new level name and click Duplicate.

Adjust general settings of level

Set up the general settings related to WebSDK 2.0:

  1. Select a business verification level and go to the Steps tab.
  2. Switch on the Enable WebSDK 2.0 for this level toggle.
  3. Configure the Company search & pre-fill setting:
    1. Switch on the toggle to find companies by name and pre-fill the Company Data and Associated parties steps. This increases form submission conversion and reduces the risk of errors related to the company data mismatches.
    2. Switch the toggle off if your regulations restrict data exposure.

Add new verification steps

Remove the old step supported only in SDK 1.0 and replace it with new ones:

  1. Select a business verification level and go to the Steps tab.
  2. Scroll down to the Verification steps section.
  3. Delete the Company (old SDK) step as it is no longer supported.
  4. Depending on your needs, add the Company Data, Company documents, and Associated parties steps.

📘

Note

The Questionnaire, Email/Phone verification steps may remain unchanged.

Configure Company Data

Add a new form and adjust company fields as needed:

  1. Add fields and mark them as required, if applicable.
  2. Use the drag-and-drop functionality to compose the order.
  3. Check the Pre-fill from data source box to automatically populate fields if matching data is found during the company search.

Set up Company documents step

Instead of listing documents individually, create document groups united by common legal aspects:

  1. Add document groups and include required documents.
  2. If you have multiple legal aspects to verify, use the additional groups named Other 1/2/3, and rename them via SDK Translations.

Manage Associated parties step

Add and configure company roles with more flexible settings:

  1. Click Add beneficiary to include a required role—UBOs, Shareholders, Directors, Representatives.
  2. Set up verification for each role:
    1. If verification is required, check the Enabled box and select a verification level from the list. A nested applicant profile will be created.
    2. If there is no need for verification, uncheck the box.
  3. Define the impact on company status:
    1. Check the Allow to skip box to make a particular form optional in the SDK. Associated parties marked this way will not affect the verification results.
    2. To consider the skipped roles anyway, go to the Business Verification page and check the Account for additional and skipped roles in the Company structure checkbox.
