Sumsub supports 14,000+ identity and address documents from 220+ countries and territories. Select a country below to see the ID and address documents we support there, including document-specific requirements like which side needs to be captured.
Unrecognized regions Sumsub does not accept identity documents issued by unrecognized governments, including: Abkhazia, South Ossetia, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Somaliland, Transnistrian Moldavian Republic, and Nagorno-Karabakh Republic. Proof of address documents issued in above territories are accepted by default, unless restricted per client request.
Occupied territories of Ukraine Sumsub does not accept passports or driver's licenses issued by the Russian Federation in the occupied Ukrainian territories of the Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions.
For PoA, addresses are rejected by default if located in territories treated as fully occupied: Crimea, Sevastopol, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions. For Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Mykolaiv, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions, only addresses associated with areas identified as occupied are rejected. To determine such areas, addresses are geocoded into coordinates and cross-referenced against boundary polygons built from open-source research. Because front lines shift, occupation can be partial, and place names repeat or vary, a static list would quickly become inaccurate. That is why Sumsub does not provide one.
