Counterparty Sanctions Screening preset is built to check counterparties against sanctions and regulatory warning lists. It narrows the scope to sanctions only to keep results tightly aligned with counterparty risk controls and settlement timelines, leaving out PEP and adverse media screening.

It queries all available sanctions and warning list sources and applies targeted name-handling rules (including acronyms and Spanish naming patterns) so common real-world variations are still detected.

Categories and sources

This preset covers all sanctions sources integrated in ComplyAdvantage Mesh (global, regional, and local watchlists and warning lists). This ensures comprehensive counterparty coverage across relevant jurisdictions.

Matching algorithm

Matching is tuned for operational accuracy with moderate similarity tolerance. The fuzziness threshold is 50% for all regions.
