Sumsub Insights
Build your own visualizations with AI and track the metrics that matter to your business.
Sumsub Insights gives you the flexibility to build analytics around the data and metrics that matter most to your business. Instead of relying on predefined reports, you can create your own visualizations, customize your boards, and track exactly what you need.
Insights consists of two sections:
- Boards — your analytics organized by Sumsub product, based on the products enabled in your account. You can populate each board with widgets that matter to you.
- Widget library — all widgets available to you: those created with Summy AI Copilot and those prepared by the Sumsub team based on your specific reporting needs. Widgets from the library can be added to the boards they are eligible for.
ImportantTo work with Insights, you need the following permissions:
- View statistics and analytics — to view boards and the widget library, and to save Summy AI Copilot results to the library.
- Manage insights and analytics — to customize boards (add, hide, and reorder widgets) and delete widgets from the library.
To learn more, see User roles.
Work with boards
To open a board, go to Insights → Boards and select a product. Boards are available for the following Sumsub products, depending on those enabled in your account:
- Individual verification
- Business verification
- AML screening
- Actions
- Video identification
- Transaction monitoring
- Case management
By default, a board displays data for the last 30 days. To select a different period, click Period and specify the date range. The selected period applies to all widgets on the board.
Some widgets have a limited data retention period. In this case, you cannot select dates earlier than the available data.
Explore widgets
Each widget on the board displays:
- Name. If the widget has a description, hover over the question mark icon next to the name to read it.
- Source icon. Hover over it to see whether the widget was created with Summy AI Copilot or by the Sumsub team.
- New label if the widget was created within the last week.
For charts with a legend, you can click individual legend items, such as verification statuses, to hide or show the corresponding data. This lets you focus on and compare only the data you need.
Manage widgets
You can manage widgets on the board in the following ways:
- Click the expand icon in the upper-right corner to expand a widget to full screen.
- Click the three-dot menu to:
- Refresh data — load the latest data.
- Copy report link — copy a direct link to the widget. The link opens the corresponding board with the widget expanded to full screen. Note that the selected period is not preserved, so the board opens with the default period.
- Download CSV — download the widget data for the selected period.
Customize boards
You can customize the widgets displayed on a board in the following ways:
- Add widget — add widgets eligible for the current board. Widgets created within the last week appear in the Recently added section.
- Edit — hide widgets or drag and drop them to change their order. Click Save to apply your changes. Hidden widgets remain available in Add widget, so you can add them back at any time.
NoteOnce you save any changes to a board for the first time, such as adding, hiding, or reordering widgets, it becomes your customized version. When the Sumsub team adds new widgets to the board, they will no longer appear on your board automatically. Instead, the number on the Add widget button shows how many new widgets are available. You can find them in the Recently added section of the Manage widgets window and add them manually. To restore the default version, contact your Customer Support Manager.
View widget library
The widget library stores all widgets available to you. To open it, go to Insights → Widget library and select one of the following sections:
- Summy Copilot — widgets saved from Summy AI Copilot by you and other users in your account.
- Custom — widgets created by the Sumsub team.
In both sections, you can search widgets by name and filter them by period. You can also filter Summy Copilot widgets by the boards they are eligible for, and Custom widgets by the boards they are used on.
Each widget shows how many boards it is used on. Click this number to see the boards and go to any of them.
Create new widget
Summy AI Copilot lets you create charts and tables from your data by asking questions in natural language. You can save the results to Insights and add them to your boards as widgets.
To create a new widget:
- Open the Summy AI Copilot chat by clicking Summy AI Copilot in the left menu or the Ask Summy AI Copilot icon in the top bar.
- Describe your request in as much detail as possible: what data you need, for what period, how it should be grouped, and in what format, such as a chart, a table, or a single number. Summy AI Copilot will generate the result based on your request.
- Click Save to Insights below the generated result. The chart will be saved to the Summy Copilot library in the Widget library section. You can also click View in Insights to open the library.
- Add the widget to a board:
- Open the board where you want to add the widget.
- Click Add widget.
- In the Manage widgets window, find your chart under Summy Copilot or Recently added.
- Select the chart and click Apply. The widget will appear on your board. You can rearrange or hide it just like any other widget.
NoteSummy widgets can currently be added only to the Individual verification, Business verification, AML screening, and Video identification boards.
Update Summy widget
You cannot edit a saved widget. To change it, return to the original request in the chat and refine it, for example, by adding new conditions. Summy AI Copilot will generate a new result, which you can save as a new widget and use to replace the original one:
- Return to the conversation where the widget was created. You can do this in the following ways:
- Open Artifacts in the Summy AI Copilot chat and click Open in chat next to the chart or table you need.
- Go to Insights → Widget library → Summy Copilot, hover over the source icon of the widget, and click Open the source chat. This option is available only for widgets you saved yourself.
- Refine your request in the chat.
- Click Save to Insights under the new result. It is saved as a separate widget.
- Add the new widget to the board and remove the original one if needed.
Request custom widget
You can request a custom graph or table by contacting your Customer Success Manager.
Once the widget is ready, it appears in Widget library → Custom, and you can add it to your board.
