Conduct ID verification
Perform effective and secure ID verification.
This page gives an overview of how to configure the process of ID verification.
Step 1: Set up verification level
Create a verification level and do the following:
- Add Identity document as a required verification step.
- Select a capture method, which can be either a file upload or live capture.
- In the Document type drop-down list, specify the documents to be requested from your applicants, such as the passport, driver's license, ID card, and residence permit.
- Add Selfie as a second step to ensure your applicants submit documents that belong to them and not someone else.
- Save your changes.
Note
You can add up to four steps of the Identity document type per level where each step is having its own unique document(s).
Step 2: Set up integration
Set up the WebSDK and MobileSDK integration and conduct verification.
Alternatively, you can use the Sumsub API.
Step 3: Handle verification results
Find and manage the verification results in the Dashboard or through the API.
Tip
- Configure ongoing document monitoring to ensure your applicants submit active documents.
- Configure AML screening criteria to determine types of compromising published information and cases when you want to be notified if your applicants are found in sanctions lists and watchlists across the globe.
- Use alternative identity verification options: Non-Doc Identity Verification and Database Validation.
Did you know?
With the WebSDK 2.0, you can use both the Non-Doc Verification and the Identity document verification in the same step. For more information, see this article.
