Blocklist applicants
Secure your services by adding suspicious applicants to the control network.
Blocklisting applicants lets you prevent fraudsters and forgers from repeatedly accessing your products and services.
We provide the following types of blocklists:
- Internal blocklist. Maintained by your operators and officers. When blocklisting applicants, they are automatically added to the autogenerated My Default Blocklist list.
- Global blocklist. Fully maintained by Sumsub.
Note
To blocklist applicants, your account must be granted the Blocklist applicants permission.
Get started
To add applicants to the blocklist:
- In the Dashboard, go to the Applicants page and open an applicant profile.
- In the top menu, select Blocklist.
Alternatively, you can use this API method to blocklist applicants.
Handle identity documents from blocklisted applicants
In certain cases, blocklisted applicants may try to pass verification again by uploading documents via multiple accounts. To manage such applicants effectively and make reasonable decisions, mind the following:
- Documents rejected by forgery. If a document has been rejected with the Forgery tag—it is considered high-risk and approval of the applicant is not recommended.
- Approved documents. If a document has been approved, it indicates that the document has passed verification, which confirms its authenticity and validity. If there are no issues associated with the applicant on your side, you may consider approving the profile.
