Twilio is an SMS provider used to deliver one-time password (OTP) messages to applicants. By default, SMS verification is handled through Sumsub's managed Twilio account.

Get started with Twilio

To use your own Twilio account:

In the Dashboard, go to Marketplace and open Twilio.
Click Settings.
Enter your credentials:
- Sid — the string identifier (SID) that serves as your Twilio account username.
- Auth token — the unique key that serves as your Twilio account password.
- Twilio phone number — the phone number generated in your Twilio account used to send OTPs.
Click Save.

Enable the target regions in your Twilio account.

SMS messages are delivered through Twilio, SMSAPI, Lanck Telecom, and Prelude, not directly from Sumsub.

All countries are supported and dynamically distributed across providers — there is no fixed country list per provider.
