HubSpot
Verify your contacts’ identities natively in HubSpot with zero manual data entry.
HubSpot is a leading all-in-one CRM suite covering sales, marketing, service, and operations.
The Sumsub and HubSpot integration brings identity verification (KYC) directly into your CRM — sales, compliance, and operations teams can trigger checks, send verification links, and sync verified data to HubSpot Contact and Deal records, all without manual entry or switching between systems.
Use cases
The HubSpot integration supports the following common use cases.
| Use case | Description | Verification flow |
|---|---|---|
| KYC | Launch and manage identity checks directly within HubSpot. |
|
| In-deal verification | Trigger checks mid-sale and seamlessly embed verification statuses into your Salesforce workflows and deal stages. | A new seller, buyer, or provider is verified before they are allowed to act. |
| Periodic re-verification | Move accounts between verification levels or request follow-up checks without leaving Salesforce. | A contact is quickly checked when verified data expires or a re-check is due. |
| Compliance and Operations | View real-time applicant statuses and full verification results right in Salesforce to streamline your compliance operations. | The contact behind the web form is validated and confirmed. |
Solution benefits
Key benefits of the Sumsub and HubSpot integration include the following:
- CRM-Embedded Verification Workflows — launch, manage, and track identity checks directly inside HubSpot; no system-switching required.
- Centralized Verification Data — access live applicant statuses, detailed check results, and verified customer data right from your HubSpot records.
- Shared Cross-Team Visibility — keep sales, compliance, and ops aligned with real-time updates on verification progress across every deal.
- Reduced Manual Operations — eliminate copy-pasting, manual record updates, and context-switching by automatically syncing compliance data.
- Flexible Implementation — easily customize the integration to match your unique Salesforce architecture, objects, and internal workflows.
Get Started with HubSpot integration
To get started with the integration, you need a valid Hubspot account. To create one, navigate to https://app.hubspot.com/signup-hubspot/crm and follow the system prompts. When done, you need to copy Hub ID, which is displayed under your account name.
You also need to contact your Sumsub Customer Success Manager. They will enable the integration for your account.
Once the integration is enabled, follow the steps below.
Step 1. Enable integration in Sumsub
- Configure at least one verification level. To create a new level, refer to this article.
- In the Marketplace, navigate to HubSpot and click Settings.
- In the side panel that opens, paste your Hub ID.
- Click Enable Integration.
2. Install HubSpot app
- Log into your HubSpot account.
- Open the installation link.
- In Sandbox, use https://integration-hubspot-sandbox.sumsub.com/oauth/install.
- In Production, use https://integration-hubspot-live.sumsub.com/oauth/install.
- On the HubSpot consent screen (read/write Contacts & Companies), click Connect app/Grant access.
Step 3. Configure integration
- In Hubspot, navigate to Settings → Integrations → Connected Apps → Sumsub KYC/KYB → Settings.
- Pick the Default KYC level you used at Step 1.
NoteLevels are created in Sumsub and displayed in Hubspot. If your key has no individual KYC level, add one, as described in this article.
- Define the Contact field mapping to adjust, which HubSpot data field correlates with each Sumsub field. For example, you can link the HubSpot First Name field to the same field in Sumsub to have the data transferred correctly.
- Turn the Replace main HubSpot fields on approval function on or off depending on whether you want to overwrite the data from your HubSpot fields with the data derived from Sumsub.
- Click Save settings.
Step 4. Add Sumsub fields to contact records
Before you start verification, the Sumsub settings card must be placed on the Hubspot Contact record layout.
- In HubSpot, open any contact record and click Customize.
- Click Default view to open the layout editor.
- In the middle column, add a new tab or pick an existing one.
- Click the plus icon.
- In the card picker, search for the card you added and place it in the selected column.
- Click Save and exit.
Step 5. Set up verified fields (optional)
The installed HubSpot app creates Sumsub contact fields and maps each Sumsub value to a HubSpot field.
You can review and adjust field mapping as described in Step 3.
To make the verified values visible on the record, you need to add the mapped fields to the Key information card:
- In HubSpot, in the layout editor on the Key information card, click the pencil icon and then Add properties.
- Add the fields shown in your Contact field mapping, then click Save.
Now your account is now fully set up.
