With SDK translations, you can change the default text displayed to your applicants. Customizable elements include text, country names, document errors, email templates, custom phrases, and so on, which let you:

• Tailor verification instructions to your business needs.
• Add extra explanations and comments where needed.
• Align the text your applicants see with your company tone of voice.

Customize default translation

To change the default text:

1. In the Dashboard, go to the SDK Translations page and open translation that you need.
2. Select a section for which you want to change the default text: MSDK, WebSDK, WebSDK 2, Common, or Email.
3. In the Language field, select the locale (language) that you want to change by using the two-letter ISO 639-1 code. By default, the English language (en) is selected. Below the Language field, you will find the JSON code made up of key-value pairs. The first element of the pair (key) represents an object within the system, such as a button, label, heading of different types, and so on. The second (value) is the UI text that you can change.
4. Use the search shortcut (Ctrl + F for Windows and Command + F for macOS) to find the key and make changes in values as necessary.
5. Click Save changes.

Important

Always click Save changes before you switch to another language or section to keep the changes you have made.

Create translation sets

To create a new translation set:

1. In the Dashboard, go to the SDK Translations page and click Create translation.
2. Give a new name to your translation. Mind that the name cannot be changed later.
3. Repeat steps 2-5, as described above.

Attach translations to verification levels

To attach translation to a verification level:

1. In the Dashboard, go to the Applicant levels page and open a verification level to which you want to add the translation.
2. On the Steps tab, scroll down to SDK Translations and from the drop-down list, select the translation.
3. Save your changes.

Note

You can specify a translation name when setting up the WebSDK integration to override the level translation for a specific SDK run. To use the option, the Sumsub library should be version 2.3.9 or higher.
