AML Screening

Archived matches for Ongoing AML Monitoring

The update history for applicants has been reworked to provide a complete list of changes. Now, each time an AML update is received, the previous version of the match will be archived and marked with the Archived tag.

Important notes:

  • By default, archived matches are hidden. You can view them by enabling the Show archived matches filter.
  • Archived matches are read-only and can be found on both the applicant page and in AML reports.

Business Verification

Companies' associated parties cross-check

A new automatic cross-check can now be performed for company officials when retrieving information from a registry source.

This check ensures that all individuals are properly declared and that the provided information matches the company data in the registry. If not, the company will be marked with the Associated party data mismatch risk label.

Important notes:

  • In Auto KYB mode the company receives the Resubmission requested status accompanied with the Control structure is not established and Ownership structure is not established reasons.
  • In the case of Full KYB, rejections are handled by the Manual Compliance team.

New logic: company approval after beneficiaries rejection

If a company was rejected solely due to the rejection of an associated person, and that person is later approved, Sumsub will automatically approve the company as well—unless there are other rejection reasons.

New button and API method: sending notifications for all pending applicants

We've implemented features to remind parties in the company structure to complete their verification process:

  • Remind all pending applicants button on the WebSDK final screen
  • API method POST/resources/applicants/{applicantId}/verificationStatusEmailToBeneficiaries

Travel Rule

Umbrella VASP compliance

Sumsub now supports the Umbrella VASP structure, which is essential for Travel Rule compliance, linking all subsidiaries under a single parent VASP.

How it works:

Umbrella VASP enables connection of multiple entities under a single VASP, simplifying transaction management. Even if an originator (end user) is unable to identify a specific entity, the transaction will be routed correctly to the appropriate VASP within the parent-subsidiary system.
