February 2025
In February, we have improved the Dashboard functionality and design, updated the significant address verification settings, and made our Business Verification more efficient to meet your goals. Besides that, Sumsub Non-Doc Verification and Database Validation became the best versions of themselves too—the coverage was enhanced, and the processes came to be more user-friendly.
More updates are coming soon!

Pre-fill functionality for Non-Doc step
A new pre-fill feature enables personal applicant information (e.g., Name, DoB, etc.) that was collected either during the initial registration on the client platform, or previously performed verification with Sumsub to be shared via the API, and automatically filled into the required fields.
In addition, the applicant will be given the possibility to review and edit the pre-filled data in order to correct any typos or inconsistencies, preventing mismatches against database records and ensuring a smooth verification flow.

UK Non-Doc Address Verification adjustments
The Non-Doc Address Verification solution has been provided with several updates:
- The Apartment (Flat) number parameter has been added to the input parameters as an optional field to increase the approval rate for residents living in apartments. The flow recommendation has been sent to the Sumsub clients.
- Partial address matches in 2x2 Matching (hit in one database instead of two) are now clearly indicated as Partial Match.
- By default, when conducting 2x2 Matching, the partial address matches are considered as successful verification. Sumsub customers who are obligated to comply with the UK regulations now have the option to reject applicants, if only one match is found. This functionality can be enabled upon request.

Address verification
Geo as PoA without documents
We have launched a new feature within the Geo as PoA product — now you can restrict applicants from uploading documents in this step.
The key points are:
- An applicant can only share their geolocation (and can not upload docs for PoA).
- If the check fails, the applicant receives the Resubmission request status with the reason GPS as POA skipped.
- Configuring the flow in Workflow Builder is required to prevent applicants from getting stuck in this status.
This feature is available to all clients who have access to Geo as PoA, but currently it is only supported in the WebSDK 2.0.

UK Non-Doc Identity Verification
A new Non-Doc Verification check has been released — UK Non-Doc Identity Verification (eVisa).
This is Sumsub brand new document-free onboarding solution that is based on electronic visa records issued by the UK Home Office to all individuals with a permission to reside in the United Kingdom for 6 months or longer.
It enables the single available remote identification method for businesses that want to onboard over 4 million UK residents who were affected by the changes related to the development of a national digital border and immigration system and currently have no physical documents to prove their residency.

Nigeria products improvements
Some of our database products for verification of applicants from Nigeria have been provided with new features:
- Phone Number Visibility Adjustment. To prevent false-rejections phone numbers will no longer be populated in the Applicant info section, but will remain visible within the Non-Doc & Identity check inspection panel.
- Introduction of Forensic Analysis ML Model. We have implemented an ML model to conduct analysis and identify selfie mismatches, stopping these cases from proceeding with the onboarding session. The inspection panel will now show two rejection tags — Data Not Found & Invalid status. At the same time, the API response body will contain the
INVALID_STATUS
value.
AML Screening
WL report updates
We have removed a score for each hit from WL reports as this score has not been providing any information about the check.

Restrictions for Selfie with document step
The Selfie with document verification step is not available for newly created verification levels:
- In new levels, it will no longer be possible to select this step.
- If this step has been included in a verification level earlier, it will remain there and continue to function as expected.
- If the Selfie with document step has been removed from the level, you will not be able to add it back.
- The step can still be added via the level import if the imported level includes it.
New Sidebar state
Our new sidebar automatically expands when you hover over it. Once the cursor moves out of the area, the sidebar shrinks back to its compact form.
User verification
Reusable KYC via SDK
A new version of Reusable KYC has been designed to enable simple and seamless sharing of KYC data amongst Sumsub clients and boost verification conversion, while still remaining fully compliant.
This new SDK based version includes:
- Easy, one-time implementation setup.
- Automatic matching of users across sharing partners platforms.
- Explicit consent for the data transfer is gathered from applicants directly in the SDK, ensuring adherence to data privacy regulations.
- Smart compliance — documents are reused wherever possible from the Donor, but when specific level requirements on theRecipient side are not yet met, the applicant is automatically prompted for the relevant documents.
- A streamlined legal framework for adding sharing partners — no Data Transfer Agreement necessary.

New AllDocs product
We have released a new feature that can process any document using Optical Character Recognition (OCR).
The feature is based on Questionnaire — an applicant uploads any document while passing the Questionnaire step and the system returns back the OCR data and answers for the questions. Based on the received answers, the questionnaire step will be approved or declined automatically.
All the settings are applied via the AllDocs presets.
Learn more about AllDocs Verification ->Advanced IP Check updates
We have delivered a bunch of the Advanced IP check improvements:
- Design update. The IP check block on the applicant page has been provided with a new appearance.
- Multiple IP processing. Now we process not only an IP address from which an applicant begins verification, but also all IP addresses used during the check. Risk labels are recalculated taking into account all of these IP addresses.
- SDK link opening exclusion. IP addresses from which SDK links are opened are not considered anymore.
