# Get available VASPs

# Overview

Use this method to get the list of VASPs from the Sumsub VASP directory. This directory contains VASPs received from the blockchain analytic tools provided by the partner or other sources.

The information we exchange includes the number of VASPs you need the information about and the detailed information about each VASP.

  Since Sumsub’s VASP directory is regularly updated, client-side caches **must be refreshed periodically** (for example, daily or weekly) to ensure the data used in your system remains accurate and up-to-date.

## Required permissions

To use this method:

* Your [app token](https://docs.sumsub.com/sumsub/docs/app-tokens) must have the **View TM transactions** [permission](https://docs.sumsub.com/sumsub/docs/user-roles#permissions).
* **Travel Rule** must be enabled for your account.

Both conditions are required — missing either one returns a `403 Forbidden` ("You don't have this feature enabled, please contact us").

# Response explained

The response is a JSON file containing a list of VASPs, along with detailed information about each one.

`supportsSnsProtocol`	Boolean	Indicates if a VASP is reachable via Sumsub Protocol (`true`), or not (`false`).
`supportsGtrProtocol`	Boolean	Indicates if a VASP is reachable via GTR Protocol (`true`) or not (`false`).
`supportsCodeProtocol`	Boolean	Indicates if a VASP is reachable via CODE Protocol (`true`) or not (`false`).
`supportsSygnaProtocol`	Boolean	Indicates if a VASP is reachable via Sygna Protocol `true`) or not `false`).
`id`	String	Unique identifier of the VASP.
`parentVaspId`	String	Identifier of the parent (umbrella) VASP to which this entity belongs. When set, the VASP is part of a VASP group managed under a single umbrella. When omitted set, the VASP is not associated with any umbrella VASP. Refer to the [request examples](#request-examples). For end-user interfaces, we recommend displaying only parent (umbrella) VASPs and excluding child VASPs for simplicity.
`createdAt`	Date	Date and time when the VASP was created in the Sumsub directory.
`name`	String	VASP name as it is registered in the directory.
`type`	Enum string	Type of the VASP. Possible values are the following: `cexLicensed` — Centralized exchange operating under a regulatory license. `cexUnlicensed` — Centralized exchange operating without a regulatory license. `p2pLicensed` — Licensed peer-to-peer (P2P) exchange platform. `p2pUnlicensed` — Peer-to-peer (P2P) exchange platform without licensing. `wallet` — Wallet service provider (custodial or non-custodial). `payment` — Payment processor or merchant service provider. `atm` — Cryptocurrency ATM or kiosk operator. `cryptoCustodian` — Institutional crypto custodian services. `otc` — Over-the-counter trading desk. `other` — Other type not covered by the categories above.
`responsivenessStatus`	String (Enum)	Travel Rule responsiveness label computed for the VASP. One of the following: - `responsive` — VASP responds to incoming Travel Rule requests. - `nonResponsive` — VASP has responded to less than 10% of incoming Travel Rule requests. - `inEvaluation` — not enough data yet: no Travel Rule requests in the rate window, or less than two weeks since the VASP's first request. - `null` — until the feature is enabled for your account.
`companyInfo`	[Object](#companyinfo-attributes)	Includes general information about the VASP along with its assigned score. This information is grouped into a [list of objects](#list-element-fields) representing the VASP's registrations in different countries under particular legal names. Present when the VASP has registration information; omitted otherwise.
`url`	String	VASP official website.
`email`	String	Official VASP email address for contacts.
`verificationId`	String	VASP verification identifier.
`essentialChecksStatus`	String	Status of the Essential Checks. `initiated` — VASP checks have been initiated. `essentialChecksDone` — Essential Check has been completed. `extendedEssentialChecksDone` — Extended Essential Check has been completed. `rejected` — VASP is rejected due to the Essential Checks results.
`riskScoreAnswer`	Double	Data based on the vendor information about VASP type: `GREEN` — if the VASP type is `exchange\_licensed` `YELLOW` — if the VASP type is `exchange\_unlicensed`, `payment`, `other`, `atm`, `p2p\_exchange\_unlicensed`, `marketplace`, `liquidity\_pools`, `transparent`, `gambling`. `RED` — otherwise.
`riskTags`	Array of enum strings	Risk tags associated with this VASP. Possible values are the following: `childExploitation` — Child exploitation. `darkMarket` — Darknet marketplace. `darkService` — Darknet services like hosting, communications. `enforcementAction` — Assets under investigation or seized by authorities. `fraudulentExchange` — Fraudulent or fake exchanges, rug pulls. `gambling` — High-risk/unlicensed gambling. `illegalService` — General illegal services, not darknet-specific. `ransomware` — Ransomware-related wallets. `sanctions` — Sanctioned entities (OFAC/UN/EU lists). `scam` — Investment scams, ponzi schemes, phishing. `stolenFunds` — Hacked or stolen funds. `terrorismFinancing` — Terrorism financing.
`hidden`	Boolean	If this parameter returns `true`, it indicates that this VASP should be ignored (for example, it is a duplicate but remains in the system). ⚠️ Warning! Hidden VASPs must never be exposed to end users. These entries represent illicit actors, inactive services, or non-customer-facing crypto infrastructure and are intended solely for attribution.
`childrenVasps`	Array of objects	For umbrella (parent) VASPs, the list of child VASPs grouped under it. Each element has the same format as a VASP object in `items`. Present only for parent VASPs. Omitted for child VASPs, which include a `parentVaspId`.
