# Migrate Business verification levels to SDK 2.0

Get your business verification levels ready for SDK 2.0—ensure full compatibility and a smoother onboarding flow.

The [migration process to SDK 2.0](https://docs.sumsub.com/sumsub/docs/migrate-from-websdk-to-websdk-20) also requires adjusting your business verification levels. The main change affects the all-in-one **Company** step which is now replaced by a few separate steps—**Company data**, **Company documents**, and **Associated parties**.

The entire migration process of business verification levels involves several stages, including configuring basic level settings, removing outdated steps, and applying new configurations.

# Perform initial edits

To minimize errors related to the service running, duplicate the existing levels and give them new names:

1. In the Dashboard, go to **Applicant levels** → [Companies](https://cockpit.sumsub.com/checkus/sdkIntegrations/levels/company).
2. Find a required level in the list, click a **three-dot menu**, and select **Duplicate**.
3. Enter a new level name and click **Duplicate**.

# Adjust general settings of level

Set up the general settings related to WebSDK 2.0:

1. Select a business verification level and go to the **Steps** tab. Duplicated and newly created levels use WebSDK 2.0 by default.
2. Configure the **Company search & pre-fill** setting:
   1. Switch on the toggle to find companies by name and pre-fill the **Company Data** and **Associated parties** steps. This increases form submission conversion and reduces the risk of errors related to the company data mismatches.
   2. Switch the toggle off if your regulations restrict data exposure.

# Add new verification steps

Remove the old step supported only in SDK 1.0 and replace it with new ones:

1. Select a business verification level and go to the **Steps** tab.
2. Scroll down to the **Verification steps** section.
3. Delete the **Company (old SDK)** step as it is no longer supported.
4. Depending on your needs, add the **Company Data**, **Company documents**, and **Associated parties** steps.

# Configure Company Data

Add a new form and adjust company fields as needed:

1. Add fields and mark them as required, if applicable.
2. Use the drag-and-drop functionality to compose the order.
3. Check the **Pre-fill from data source** box to automatically populate fields if matching data is found during the company search.

# Set up Company documents step

Instead of listing documents individually, create document groups united by common legal aspects:

1. Add document groups and include required documents.
2. If you have multiple legal aspects to verify, use the additional groups named **Other 1/2/3**, and rename them via [SDK Text](https://docs.sumsub.com/sumsub/docs/sdk-text).

# Manage Associated parties step

Add and configure company roles with more flexible settings:

1. Click **Add beneficiary** to include a required role—**UBOs**, **Shareholders**, **Directors**, **Representatives**.
2. Set up verification for each role:
   1. If verification is required, check the **Enabled** box and select a verification level from the list. A nested applicant profile will be created.
   2. If there is no need for verification, uncheck the box.
3. Define the impact on company status:
   1. Check the **Allow to skip** box to make a particular form optional in the SDK. Associated parties marked this way will not affect the verification results.
   2. To consider the skipped roles anyway, go to the [Business Verification](https://cockpit.sumsub.com/checkus/sdkIntegrations/globalSettings/businessVerification) page and check the **Account for additional and skipped roles in the Company structure** checkbox.

# Adjust Configurations tab

Сonfigure ownership percentages for UBOs and shareholders identification in WebSDK and Registry exports. This step is extra and does not affect the migration process:

1. Go to the settings of the required business verification level.
2. Navigate to the **Configurations** tab, go to **Business verification**, and locate the **Owners roles identification thresholds** setting.
3. Identify the percentage for both roles.

# Adapt customizations and translations

Update the look and feel of your interface and texts to the latest version, as all SDK 1.0 setups are no longer supported.

1. Convert your customizations to the new format:
   1. Go to [Customizations](https://cockpit.sumsub.com/checkus/sdkIntegrations/customizations/appearances) and create a new SDK 2.0 customization.
   2. In the top-right corner, select **Import styles** and choose **Import styles from WebSDK 1.0**.
   3. Select a customization from the list.
2. If you have added custom translations, transfer them to the new SDK version:
   1. In the Dashboard, go to the **Integration → SDK Text** page and open an existing text set or create a new one.
   2. Navigate to the **WebSDK 2** section and apply all the necessary changes.
   3. Click **Save changes**.
